What would a board be without a full complement of support staff?  There are a number of front-line full time employees who help to keep things running smoothly in this very busy place.

The Calgary Real Estate Board building has many departments located on three floors accessible by elevator, and in the basement is the mailroom and computer lab. The other floors house all the departments which make the organization function.   On the main floor, there is Reception, Member Services, Professional Standards, Calgary Real Estate News (CREN), Cashier, and the Charitable Foundation, and cafeteria, along with a number of offices and board rooms utilized by the many committees.

There is almost always courses in progress up at the Calgary Real Estate Board. So much so, that even in this new building, they are bursting at the seams and have purchased the building directly east of them to allow additional parking when the lot is full, and for future expansion.   When I first became licensed as a Real Estate Agent in April of 2000, The Calgary Real Estate Board was located downtown, on 5th Avenue SW between 7th and 8th Streets.   There was very little room to park there, so I’m delighted it’s moved to a more favorable location.
